For Tajay,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0making his mother proud.\u00a0This Mother\u2019s Day\u00a0is the perfect time to celebrate the encouragement and support that moms provide through the story of what Tajay has achieved.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Tajay came to the U.S. alone without his support system. He wanted to make changes\u00a0to his life and provide for himself.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0when he met someone from Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region (Tacoma, WA) while he was staying at a\u00a0youth\u00a0homeless\u00a0shelter.\u00a0The connection\u00a0was life-changing for Tajay.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">He started working at the Goodwill\u00ae operations center\u00a0and excelled.\u00a0It was quickly clear to his managers that Tajay was an excellent employee. He did such\u00a0a great job\u00a0that after his trial period, the team was excited to offer him a full-time position.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Now that he is\u00a0employed, Tajay has been able to save enough money to get his own housing. He has a new outlook on life that has had a ripple effect on everything he does.\u00a0Tajay\u00a0even said that\u00a0his new position makes him feel more inclined to stay away from people who\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0want to\u00a0accomplish\u00a0anything,\u00a0which\u00a0he says will help him keep out of trouble.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u201cWhen I come here, I get so motivated,\u201d Tajay explained. \u201cAll of the people here are\u00a0very hard\u00a0workers, and it makes me want to work even harder&#8230;I have a\u00a0full-time\u00a0job,\u00a0and I am going to\u00a0have benefits.
