We all want to start the year clutter free and feel put-together (remember that your local <a href=\"https:\/\/goodwillrewamp.kinsta.cloud\/locate-a-donation-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goodwill\u00ae donation center<\/a>\u00a0can help with that).\u00a0Organization is also a helpful skill to have on the job;\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0something Paul found out when he came to\u00a0Goodwill Industries of Michiana, Inc. (South Bend, IN).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fixing Up a New Career\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He was always handy around the house and loved to fix things.\u00a0That inspired him to find a career in construction, but he needed proper training to get started.\u00a0Paul shared his dream with a\u00a0Goodwill\u00a0career coach.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0know, Goodwill thrift stores fund programs for people like Paul who need a little\u00a0support to\u00a0accomplish\u00a0their dreams.\u00a0Thanks to Goodwill shoppers and donors, Paul\u00a0was\u00a0able to enroll in the CORE Construction training program.<\/p>\n<p>In the training, he learned how to properly handle tools, to be well\u00a0organized\u00a0and even gained some leadership knowledge. With these new skills, Paul\u00a0earned a job at a local manufacturing company where he could put his love for fixing things to work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Advance Your Career\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Paul came to Goodwill ready to advance himself and his career, and he\u00a0encourages\u00a0others to take the leap as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are given so many opportunities and support.
