January 5, 2026 \u2013 Goodwill Industries International (GII) is devastated by the tragic events that occurred on December 26\u00a0when, according to law enforcement,\u00a0two employees were robbed and shot at a Tucson Donation Center of\u00a0Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, a member organization of GII.<\/p>\n
We are heartbroken that one of the victims,\u00a0Juan Crist\u00f3bal Flores,\u00a0has passed away.\u00a0Our deepest condolences are with\u00a0his\u00a0family and loved ones. Our thoughts also\u00a0remain\u00a0with the second victim, who continues to receive medical care, and whose family has requested to remain anonymous.<\/p>\n
The Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department (PCSD)\u00a0has\u00a0arrested a suspect\u00a0in these crimes. GII is grateful to PCSD for its diligent work on this case, and we deeply appreciate the support shown by the Tucson community, Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, and others, as authorities continue their pursuit of justice.<\/p>\n
We are also very moved by the outpouring of support for the victims and their families from across the Tucson community.<\/p>\n
