WASHINGTON \u2013\u00a0The NRF Foundation today announced a new chairman and one addition to its Board of Directors. The announcement was made following the organization\u2019s winter board meeting in New York City, ahead of\u00a0NRF 2025: Retail\u2019s Big Show<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0NRF Foundation Honors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Macy\u2019s, Inc. Chairman and CEO Tony Spring concluded his term as chair of the NRF Foundation Board of Directors and is succeeded by Goodwill Industries International President and CEO Steve Preston.\u00a0Spring will remain on the NRF Board of Directors and Executive Committee.<\/p>\n

“We are grateful to Tony Spring for his incredible leadership of the NRF Foundation Board of Directors and his vision to expand our work to educate, upskill and connect individuals with successful careers across the retail industry,” NRF Foundation Executive Director Adam Lukoskie said. “We are thrilled to welcome Steve Preston as our incoming chair.\u00a0His expertise and guidance will be instrumental in advancing the NRF Foundation’s education and training programs. Under his leadership, we look forward to identifying new opportunities to prepare prospective and current associates with the skills needed for career advancement in retail.”<\/p>\n

“Goodwill works to eliminate barriers to employment and help people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work. In many ways, this goal directly correlates with the work of the NRF Foundation. I look forward to bringing this shared pursuit to fruition and expanding the reach of retail as a lifelong career destination,” Preston said.<\/p>\n

In addition to Preston, BJ\u2019s Wholesale Club Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Laura Felice was named to the Board.<\/p>\n
